Mouri lessons with...

I am learning to learn more about the Mouri culture.

Today at lunch time we had students from room10 to teach us about there culture (Mouri) and if you didn't know who were teaching us about there culture the people are Frances,Constence,Aja and Irys they all have blogs to and if you would like to check there blogs out just go to the Omni box and type there names then type in @ Tamaki Primary school.if you would like to visit the school blog here is a link Tamaki primary school

So the girls were teaching us about Mouri games and they even told us some stories and legands. They told us a story about a girl that was crying and looking at the moon and holding onto a tree all at the same time and then the tree broke and she went down with the tree and Frances said that it became a legand and now that whenever you like at a full moon at night you will see a little girl holding onto a tree.

We also played some games that most of us did not know but those who were in kapa haka than they would know it but i wasn't in kapa haka so i wouldn't know. The first game that the girls have tought us was pukana, surprisingly i knew this game because i used to play that game with my cousins. Anyway the way you play the game is when you say pukana you point to the person next to you and it can be any side then the next move is you say aue and point to someone else in the circle but it cant be the person next to you and when the person sees that you have pointed to them they will put ther hands on the side of them in a fist and say he pernonciation (H-e) and say pukana and that is how you play the game.

The second game they tought us was really fun i forgot the name of it but the way you play this game is you will need eight people in 2 groups and 2 people to be the leader. Then eight people will be in a line and the leader will be at the front and holding to person next to her or hims rist and doing that along the whole line and there will be a bottle at the end of the line and it will be in the middle of the 2 lines and the person at the end of the line will grabe the bottle when she or he feels the person next to her squeez her or his rist.

So that would be the end of my blog about learning about the mouri culture and feel free to leave a comment down below thank you and have a good day.
👍😁
